Original artwork description:

a long time ago I bought, at a flea market, a collection of old bank notes from countries around the world, and have since had fun making collages with them.

This collage has a background of 100% linen fabric, bright white, the tree trunk and some of the leaves are printed on fabric with my own linocuts, I then add the bank notes and free motion embroider the whole piece, just this part of the process takes me hours and adds a lot of detail to the piece. Free motion embroidery is like drawing with the needle and thread, I do it in a very loose style, adding texture and story to the collage.

"Money grows on trees?" measures 83 cm x 43 cm, the 3 cm are for framing, (17" x 32.75" 1.75" surround for framing)
I do intend for you to frame this piece as the bank notes are quite fragile.
I have signed the piece in stitch and it comes with a certificate of authenticity.
