Contemporary Impressionism.

I painted this oil on canvas from sketches taken while visiting Monet's garden in Giverny, and I tried to really capture the spirit of his artwork and the tranquility he must have felt painting outdoors by the waters edge. I have used thick paint and lively brush strokes to give vivacity and drama to this beautiful scene!

Signed on the front and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The painting continues around the edges to provide a contemporary unframed look.
