Oh how I love this place! Enchanting Monemvasia. A place I stayed for several months over a quiet season. Some doors opened out, while others were shut tightly, with that mystery of 'what's behind closed doors' following you around.
Balconies, archways, windows, and more doors and more windows, and up and down I would go, immersed in the pastel deliciousness of it all. And always, just about always, glimpses or grand vantage points out to the Mediterranean Sea. A byzantine bijou.
This painting is a little memoir of my time spent in this town of the Peloponnese. May it inspire and bring delight.
