In March 2017, I was lucky to visit Armenia. During this period, everything blooms there and comes to life after winter. These places are stunning beauty! I wanted to paint all day without a break.

The painting depicts the Geghard monastery complex. Located in the gorge of the mountain river Gokht. Some of the buildings of the monastery are hollowed out inside the rocks. Founded in the 8th century. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with enhanced protection status.
The picture was painted from nature.

The painting often participate in exhibitions, so there are two little carnations on the back of the stretcher and black frame holders around the perimeter. I will remove them before shipping.
