I wrote this light picturesque study when I was in Normandy in France. It was a trip to Mont Saint Michel Abbey. While there, I painted a beautiful view of the ocean with an island in the distance. The work is done with a palette knife with oil paints in the style of impressionism on canvas pasted on thick cardboard.
