Original artwork description:

This still life painting shows a bookshelf filled with books on art, most notably of course the Modern Art book with Marilyn Monroe's portrait by Andy Warhol on it. It's a variation of my art within art theme.

In the lower left corner I put in a magic square. I was inspired by Albrecht Dürer's Melancholia, a well known print which also has a magic square in it. It's called magic because if you count the numbers in all directions you end up time and again with the same number. Like Dürer I managed to put the year of creation in it as well at the center bottom.
