Model session – 14-05-20

These Corona days show little or no model sessions at all. However my model and I felt confident to do a new session after a long time, taking all precautions. I was more than happy to take up my live drawing pencils and I used a rougher toothed paper this time (Arches Dessin paper) on which I put my graphite strokes with a bigger pencil than I usually work with. After she went home I put a finish over the drawing using smaller strokes with my regular mechanical pencil. I saw that the paper was not quite suited for such treatment (scratching through the top surface) but it gave me a nice soft impressionistic look nonetheless.
