This piece, like many others, began just by pushing paint around and seeing which colors presented themselves more forcefully than others. After the first session, I began to see the warmth emanating from the middle and and coolness being pushed down around the bottom and edges. This Modern Sunset was there now. The simple wood frame with ebony stain finished it off nicely.
