Being a chocolate Labrador owner it wasn't difficult to get inspiration for this painting as the pose is typically that of a Labrador. The drawing process was tedious as I believe a good and precise preparation drawing is the basis of a good painting.
The sepia tones have created a harmony of colours throughout the painting, which is what I had hoped to create.
