Being a chocolate Labrador owner, it wasn't difficult to get inspiration for this painting,as this is a typical Labrador pose. I've chosen to paint this handsome specimen in sepia tones so as to create a harmony of colours through out the painting. The preparation drawing process prior to painting was tedious as I'm a great believer that a good painting is based upon a precise and accurate drawing.
Featured in Artists and illustrators magazine as an example of fine art animal portraiture.
