Original artwork description:

A one-off print, or 'printed painting' of a place close to my home and my heart. I've been spending much of lockdown walking and sketching on Hampstead Heath and then recreating the images as monotypes.

After the initial pencil sketch and small test print, I apply etching inks onto a sheet of steel with card and rollers before removing it in areas with a cloth and then run it through the press. The image is printed just once, onto textured Somerset Satin paper. I love the light effects and texture I can achieve with this technique!
This artwork is wrapped in acid-free tissue, loosely rolled in a thick-walled 10cm wide cylinder and dispatched signed and tracked within four days.
