Original artwork description:

The rewards of fell walking are endless, being able to see the weather patterns changing below as the clouds and mist swirl around the rocky landscape beneath. These ever changing patterns present many opportunities for painting. On this particular walk the mist was descending down the valley forming wonderful shapes highlighted against the burgeoning colours of spring within the landscape.

With oils in hand I made a few quick sketches and notes.

On returning to the studio I worked on the composition and started to produce the final artwork. It certainly lifts one's mood to see the beauty of light in nature.

Misty Valley is a framed original oil painting created and painted by myself. The back of the artwork is signed and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity.
