This is an impressionistic French landscape painting, verging on abstract, of a misty evening across a flat part of the countryside, near Beaune, France, where I live.
The sunset still manages to show through the mist and creates a dreamy quality.
It was awarded Special Merit in the June 2018 online Landscapes Art Exhibition at LightSpaceTime.
This painting has pained dark purple edges and a gloss varnish finish. The canvas is deep at 4cm.
