Misty chalk hills
Early spring,
Atmospheric light,
Ethereal landscape,
Sage greens,
Hints of dusky pink in the trees.

Words and thoughts
Original wet on wet watercolour of the landscape using extra rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb, I applied loose and expressive washes to try and achieve the atmospheric effect. Used subtle shades for the contours and lines plus a dragging technique for the trees. I also etched the paint out within the trees.
I used my bushy hogs hair brush, sable hair brush and filbert brush.
