Original artwork description:

This painting evolved over a long period of time. It grew from an innocuous image of a construction site into a multi-level laminated textural surface. A predominantly monochrome under-painting is over-laid with astringent urban colours, however there is an interesting depth to it.
The painting is very process led, paint is applied with any implement except a paintbrush in a seemingly random and chaotic manner, however everything has to be done in a certain order.
The final result is a circulating movement across the surface in a cool, unsentimental composition.

Materials used:

acrylic, toner, oil stick
