Original artwork description:
My friend found this plate at a yard sale, and considered buying it since her favorite color is yellow. When she put is back I picked it up, because I immediately saw it incorporated into a still life with similar colors. Lemon yellow against the chrome yellow flowers, lime green with the pale green stems. Originally I had it on a lace background, but I redid it with the checks. All those curves in the plate, I thought the piece could use some straight(ish) lines.

Bristol paper (acid free) and colored pencil
