I was indulged with an idea to convey the substantiality of various objects: the cold touch and heaviness of metal and the openwork lace of gypsophila. In the process of painting, it was a particular pleasure for me to depict how the light from the window reflected on the creamer and colours shimmering on the ins and outs of the dish. I wanted to create a sense of randomness and momentary in the composition. However, such simplicity is deceptive - it was a rather challenging task to achieve a sense of deep air perspective of the bouquet.
