This artwork was drawn from life.
One dull evening, a friend of mine picked me up and brought me to the oldest jazz club in town. It was a jazz concert of a famous Israeli pianist Tal Babitzky. We both fell in love with his wonderful music.
He was accompanied by a drummer and a double bass player.
I created a series of sketches.
Some of them are in private collection of the musician.

The cozy atmosphere of a jazz club is captured as two musicians take the stage. A pianist delicately plays the grand piano while a double bass player adds depth to the melody. The scene exudes warmth and intimacy, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the soothing sounds of live jazz. With soft lighting and expressive brushstrokes, the artist brings to life the enchanting ambiance of a late-night jazz concert.
