A sultry brunette glows within a setting of deep, velvety blues. Her haunting, enigmatic gaze hints at untold stories and a depth of character. The rich blues and glowing skin tones are applied with a mix of precision and expressive brushwork. There is a touch of inner turmoil suggested in her expression and the subdued yet turbulent background. I love most that the emotions evoked change with different lighting and viewing angles. This portrait exudes life and complexity, the delicately mercurial nature of both the human mind and the hand of the artist.
