Original artwork description:

This drawing is part of a series I have entitled "Playful Fusions".
Crooked drawings, made at 5 a.m., on the sofa, amidst the mess of the children's room. Something different from what I'm used to do. Indeed, they represent a different conception of drawing: as a spontaneous act, not perfect; as an instinctive gesture, not too pondered. And above all, as a daily practice, an indispensable habit, a bit like having coffee in the morning, or brushing teeth in the evening.
This drawing was inspired by a card of the Major Arcana: 'The Empress'. But I find in it, surprisingly, the hard features and austere expression of an old photo of my grandmother.
So here it is: 'My grandmother, the Empress'.

This drawing, like the others in the same series, is made on sketch paper, smooth, 120g, with rounded bottom corners and finished with a quality passepartout. The drawing is sold already mounted in its passepartout.
Drawing size: 13×21 cm.
Size with passepartout: 18×29 cm.

Materials used:

Pigmented India Inks Pens and Pencils
