Surrealistic digital artwork inspired by Mexican culture and everyday life in Yucatan, Mexico. The starting point for this artwork was a real story when I saw a woman standing in line in local fruit shop with a tropical parrot on her shoulder. That accidentally reminded me about Blue Bird play by famous Belgian writer Maurice Maeterlink. The story is about a girl called Mytyl and her brother Tyltyl seeking happiness, represented by The Blue Bird of Happiness, aided by the good fairy Bérylune.
