Original artwork description:

The second largest fishing port in Cornwall, hosting a thriving fishing industry. The historic harbour has stunning surroundings and ancient quays that stand out in vivid contrast to a highly modernised fishing industry depicted in my red boat.
Primarily I work with acrylic paint and ink, collage and mixed media. The acrylics are applied with rollers, pieces of shaped wood, card and any found materials. Collage materials comprise of torn or shaped tissue paper, newsprint, and magazine illustrations. Details are then added with acrylic paint and ink, oil and chalk pastels, pen and ink. I have published a book illustrating my work entitled “Painting Without Brushes” which sums up my style of painting.
