A large reduction linocut of a trio of weather-worn rowing boats at Mevagissey harbour in Cornwall, bobbing in the water like three old friends. A new, bright red boat adds contrast to the scene behind them.
This print is layered up with nine different colours and is an edition of only nine prints.

I spent a lot of holidays in Cornwall as a child and was very pleased to get the chance to go back a few weeks ago. Although this scene was inspired by Mevagissey, this image could represent any of the several Cornish harbours we visited.

A reduction lino print is formed with several layers of colour which are cut and printed from the same block of lino. I print all of my work by hand, in very limited editions. Small variations do occur between them but this just serves to make each individual print truly original.

This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. It is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, mounted in a neutral colour and wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean.

This artwork will be packaged in a bubble envelope with plenty of card support for safety.

Materials used:

Printed on Somerset Satin with water-based light-fast inks. Mounted to fit into a 16 x 20 inch frame.
