Lovers embracing: the woman is changing into the form of the tree.

Inspired by the story of Phyllis and Demophoon from Greek mythology this large pastel drawing is drawn in rich deep tones of blue and green with a gold pencil highlight and little flashes of red.

Drawn on Somerset 300gsm paper (30 x 44 inches), I have used quality pastels to achieve a rich, striking image full of passion.
