This mixed media painting, created on a sturdy handmade box canvas, is inspired not only by my daily walks beside the estuary but also by my love of mermaids.
A partner painting to Mermaid Tears this artwork is evoked by the legend that a Mermaid can only come to shore on a full moon light night and as dawn starts to break. Because they are so sad that they will never be able to walk upon the land, it is said that their tears fall on to the sand changing to sea glass.
This artwork has painted sides and is fitted with chord ready to hang. It has been signed on the side.
