Original artwork description:

I called this painting "mercy" because I began to think about the eternal circle of hatred in this world.
Hatred only breeds more hatred, bringing even more pain in return.

Mercy and forgiveness are what can break this vicious circle.
At this moment, beautiful flowers of forgiveness and enlightenment bloom on the bare branches of hatred, which I tried to convey in my oil painting in the form of magnolia flowers.

The painting was painted in 2024, with oil paints on canvas

The background color is slightly lighter than in the photo.
The background is more white than grey.
