In crafting this sculpture, I embraced the raw textures of terracotta, uniting it with the ethereal sheen of gold leaf. The assemblage technique allowed me to explore form and texture, creating a vessel swathed in a wave of deep blues, symbolizing depth and mystery. The emerging golden tips hint at undiscovered treasures within, evoking a sense of wonder and the infinite possibilities that lie beneath the surface. This piece invites introspection and adds a vibrant, thoughtful energy to any space.

Hand build base where hand thrown ceramic vessels on top. Blue glazed and finished with gold leaf on the top. Fired twice at 1180°c.
