Original artwork description:

37x50x1.5 Canvas

Inspired by the repeating patterns in nature and our connection to the all-encompassing force of life. This work was created with water from the Pacific Ocean US, several layers of fluid acrylic paint, acrylic glazing, and spray paint.

This series celebrates the transformative essence of the natural world, where earth, air, water, and light harmonize.

Each painting is created with a small amount of water gathered from the earth's oceans, rivers, and lakes. The concept of adding water from natural sources to each piece is to add the energy of life to the work.

Harnessing the radiant allure of gold and utilizing my process of controlled chaos I create organic cell patterns, and fluid compositions that ebb and flow, capturing the magnificence of nature – from a gentle sunrise glow to rustling leaves and serene water ripples. Each artwork in this collection embodies the alchemical journey, where the line between the physical and metaphysical worlds blur and ordinary elements transcend to reveal the extraordinary.

In Alchemy, gold acts as a catalyst for metamorphosis as I aim to encapsulate nature's ephemeral, transient, and fleeting aspects. Beyond its rarity, the metal's worth lies in its ability to mirror the beauty of our environment, illuminating hidden patterns and sacred geometries that underpin existence.

Alchemy (noun)

al·che·my

: a medieval chemical science and speculative philosophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold, the discovery of a universal cure for disease, and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life

: a power or process that changes or transforms something in a mysterious or impressive way

: an inexplicable or mysterious transmuting

The long route to English for alchemist began with the Greek word chēmeia, which came from the word chyma (“fluid”), derived from the verb chein, meaning “to pour.” It then passed to Arabic, which added its definite article al- (“the”) to the Greek root.

This piece is a one-of-a-kind original abstract expression of my inner world and cannot be duplicated.

This piece is finished with a satin varnish, dripped edges, and signed on the back. 1.5" Gallery Stretched Canvas is wired and ready to hang.

Materials used:

Fluid Acrylic
