Original artwork description:

This semi-abstract canvas was made with white and blue "cobalt" acrylic.

The background of the canvas was painted with a flat knife and a notched knife. We can see in places the traces left by these two tools.

Then, the blue and the white were deposited with the brush to obtain a color gradient. The horizon line, blue, divides the canvas in two. The top of the canvas is slightly bluish, while the bottom tends to white.

We imagine the sea, calm and serene, in an immaculate landscape.

The edges are painted white. The canvas is left "raw" and does not shine

With the artist Benoit Guérin, the canvases are born and converse with their creator: he shapes them, observes, searches, makes, undoes, erases, starts over and recycles his canvases. Until the final touch is obtained, he will not be satisfied. This process, exhausting, even painful, delivers from time to time "magic" paintings that he could never have imagined accomplishing.

Materials used:

Acrylic on canvas
