In this painting, I explore the mental state of individuals living in regions affected by ongoing military conflicts. This subject hits close to home for me, as the conflict is still unresolved, and the atmosphere is increasingly becoming chaotic. The artwork portrays an individual under the influence of fear. It is challenging to articulate how a person might behave and feel when a missile flies overhead, shattering the sense of safety. The routine of daily life ceases to be ordinary, and the feeling of inner peace seems to slip away with each passing day.

Recently, there was a horrifying rocket attack in Kharkiv, and the impact on a residential building left an indelible mark of terror. I aim to capture the emotional state that is common among those constantly living in the perilous zone of potential death from the ongoing conflict. The fear experienced by individuals in such circumstances is destructive to the nervous system and psychological well-being.

The painting is executed in oil on canvas. The frame is painted to match the portrait's tones and sealed with varnish.
