Whenever I go out painting (I'm a plein-air painter) I always take a few 16x12'' boards with me, as well as my larger canvases. After finishing a larger canvas I usually do an oil sketch on one of these boards to use up the left-over paint on my palette. Sometimes these turn out quite well and I like them better than the main painting. This is one of these. At only £160, including a mount (see picture), it is a chance to buy a good plein-air oil painting at very little cost.
I painted this one on the south coast of the island of Menorca..
