Original artwork description:

This is a 9"x12" oil sketch of a street scene, painted en plein air (outside, on location) in a small quint town of Mendocino in Northern California. Painted Alla Prima (all in one session), signature being scratched into wet paint. Plein air painting is the most in-the-moment technique, reflecting an immediate artist's response to the nature at this particular moment in time. It is a fresh and spontaneous oil painting, showing confident brush strokes.

Materials:
Oil paint on a Centurion OP DLX oil-primed linen panel 9"x12"x0.12. The painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. The painting is unframed, and will require a frame to hang on the wall. Otherwise, it can be placed on a small decorative easel (easel not included) to display it on a table or a shelf.
