I took inspiration for the painting and title from a song by Taylor Swift, "The Great War"...

"We can plant a memory garden
Say a solemn prayer, place a poppy in my hair
There's no morning glory, it was war, it wasn't fair
And we will never go back"

She is sitting in a field of poppies, the summer air around her. You can see poppies in her hair and hand and bees buzzing around. Her dress is detailed with flowers.
