Original artwork description:

Two girls sit on the side of a pool in the heat of summer, by a cabane surrounded by flowers. The picture, like the memories, and an old photo, fade over the years where the details and colours merge into each other until they fade out, but the main memory of the family holiday stays strong.

Acrylic paint on canvas, with poured paints over the top, including lots of gold paint.

There is a fair amount of gold paint in the poured colours, the tones seen varying in different lights, adding extra interest.

The deep sides are painted so that it can be hung directly on the wall without the necessity of a frame.

Materials used:

acrylic paint, varnish
