This painting is a result of the act of being spontaneous. With the blank canvas in front of me I started to apply different colours using different tools such as brushes, pallet knives and my hands. This involves making decisions without thinking too much, allowing my creativity to flow naturally onto the canvas. I wanted to base this abstract painting on the forestry. It was important to me that the painting wasnt flat and showed plenty of depth. The combination of abstract and real is a very interesting and exciting one.
