This oil painting is a still life with bright orange Bird of Paradise flowers and a water Melon as the main theme. I have added the African Violets to contrast with the colour of the oranges. I enjoy painting Bird of Paradise flowers as they have such interesting shapes and colour. I start from scratch with, in this case, the flowers. Then I gradually pick objects which I think goes with the general idea and colour skeme. I love this process as it appeals to my sense of design. This is an impressionistic contemporary painting and would fit in any modern or traditional interior. It is painted on stretched canvas and signed on the front. It has a contemporary black frame and is ready to hang. It also comes with a certificate of Authenticity
