I used Illustrator to create this image using for inspiration several photographs I took one day in Melbourne, Australia. I wanted to flatten most of the shapes and then create the depth of field using overlap, one point perspective and tones. I just love Japanese patterns so was also interested in introducing various pattern overlays.

Materials used:

High quality acid free paper and printed using the Giclee process.
