Original artwork description:

Pure encaustic, hot beeswax, and pigments on OSB plate from 2022.

Lately, I have also been interested in climate change and its multi-layered impact on people and their environment. Due to the unbridled activity of mankind, in recent years and this year, we have been able to encounter these: dryness, drought, the increased melting of the ice caps, and the weather becoming more extreme. In the future, the rising sea level due to the melting of the polar ice caps can flood coastal cities.
Of course, these do not remain only at this level, their economic and demographic impact has also already appeared. Not to mention wars, which are one of the most environmentally polluting human activities, can also threaten the freedom of all of us.

Due to climate change caused by environmental pollution, the ice caps are melting. The time will come when the penguin can meet the dragonfly and other flying insects. As long as the penguin population can adapt to the changed conditions.

In recent years, I have been using OSB as the basis for my encaustic works for two reasons. One is that these raw materials are made from recycled wood, and the other is that I like the industrial effect texture that this raw material gives. Every work is already different due to the pattern of the wood, so no two paintings can be the same.
The painting is made with self-made paint, which basically consists of pigments and beeswax. Does not contain oil or other paints. The procedure itself dates back to antiquity and has been known for thousands of years. Only a few artists around the world work with wax on their own.

The encaustic is equipped with a simple exhibition frame, which harmonizes with the industrial style of the painting and highlights it well. Ready to hang!

This work will be delivered with Care Instructions for my encaustic paintings and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this work in cardboard boxes careful wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard.
