Original artwork description:

The sad story of Medusa has always intrigued me. The power of a beautiful woman can take a lions heart or a young warrior and crush them to her will, as is so true in life. Here is my imagined version of the lady who can turn any living eye that looks upon her beauty to stone . Cursed by Athena and a victim of deception from the cunning sea God Poseidon. Medusa is cursed and mutated until her faith brings the young warrior Perseus to take her head. A tragic figure in Greek Mythology and in my opinion one of the most popular. Painted with fine Rembrandt paints on linen. Spending many hours and pouring my soul into the canvas I present to you this beautiful piece.

Materials used:

Oil On Canvas
