Original artwork description:
Acrylic on canvas panel 12 x 12inches. I drive past this meadow every so often on the way to Cambridge. It is full of wild grasses and in mid summer wild flowers show their colours in large bands across it. I love the colour of the thistle flowers particularly- they bring lively hues of pinkish mauve to the field. I love meadows like this one - basically it is left to get on by itself. It’s not a planted meadow at all, just a piece of agricultural land ‘set aside’ for a year or two, and that makes it even more interesting I think, just seeing what comes up and flowers there.
Please note that this painting is sold UNFRAMED and will need a frame to hang.
