Oil on wood 20x22x1.5cm (7.9x8.7x0.6in) 2014 SOLD, private collection, Arlington, USA.
“Massimo” is part of the series “Faces”, a group of artworks in which I investigated the human face and how to paint it. I painted this artwork in a gestural, expressive style, from a picture I took during the photo shoot for the painting “Massimo – The toy car”. As you can see, I left the pencil lines of the drawing to underline the spontaneus nature of the artwork
“Massimo – Faces” is a 20x22cm portrait made on a wood panel. It is signed on the back and delivered with a unique certificate of authenticity
