The Inspiration: Much of my work plays on the elements of texture and movement, pieces like "Masking Light” specifically emphasize the textural elements that naturally come along with oil paintings. Using a flat-edge palette knife, each knife stroke retains its shape and texture; the repetitive motion is always a very relaxing process for me.
