Oil pastel and ink drawing inspired by art of ancient maya. Mask of god was an important part of religious rituals for ancient mayas. In their cults the mask of god was used for awaking a spiritual power. In this drawing I experienced some influences from Russian avant-garde art, especially Pavel Filonov painting.
Materials: oil pastel and inks on black heavy weight fine art paper.
