I believe we all wear masks throughout our days. Depending on the image we want to project at the moment, we choose our mask at our disposal. Some masks we wear so often that it becomes our most authentic self. Sometimes we are too afraid to see our own self without any mask because it might be too difficult to accept who we really are.
What do I want to say about this series?
I am trying to show the contradiction between our perceived self and true self. Eyes are the window to our soul. From the outfit and the masks in the pictures, you can see an image of confidence, power, wealth, vanity, and authority. However, when you look at the eye, which represents our true self, you can see fear, anxiety, anger, hate, and self-loathing.
