This work depicts a street corner in London, a place made remarkable by its eclectic architecture, a place of magic where turrets pierce the blue sky, garrets and glimpses into a dozen private worlds. I marvel at the contrasting colours, reddish and ochre Victorian brick, seeped in hundred year old soot, and smooth walls of burgundy plaster. The work is rich in colour, in realism and makes a perfect gift of London.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
