This oil painting on a linen canvas depicts the old town centre of Martigues, a city in the south of France. This district is called 'le miroir aux oiseaux ' because of the reflections of bird cages in the water and has been painted by famous artists such as Delacroix, Corot, Ziem, Dufy ... .
This painting was realised with the help of sketches and watercolor studies made in-situ. It won the first prize at the International Fos sur Mer Biennale and was then used for the poster of the next edition in which I was their guest of honour. It is ready to hang.
