Phil has travelled around Morocco and loves the sights, sounds and smells of this amazing country. It is so close to Europe but a world away. This one reminded him of the excitement of the colours and shapes of the spice markets and other shops in Marrakesh. He says "I hope to capture the excitement of the colourful medinas and markets in Marrakesh, the spice stalls, textiles and carpets for sale and general feeling of excitement I get in Morocco".
It is very colourful, the only restriction he placed on himself when choosing colours was to not use any strong blues, so it is dominated by reds, oranges and yellows, with some paler highlights. It was done over several sessions and is full of details.
It is a square acrylic abstract that would brighten up any wall. It is ready to hang.
