Painted from a sketch done whilst sipping coffee at a cafe. Not the usual view people paint, but I was greatly attracted to the scene with the leisure boats and the church steeple. We had walked through the market on the right of the scene which helped the composition I thought. It was March, so the showery looking sky matches the weather at the time
