Original artwork description:

Recently I was married, our reception party was in my new art studio. I wanted to paint a large wow image that would appeal to most people. I decided on this image of Maria Callas. I saw a similar image projected at an Opera dedicated to Callas last summer and the memory stuck with me.

The photos don't do her justice, in real life she is very striking.
