The tide was well out when I started this watercolour painting, but was a totally different scene at the end. The boats were afloat and the water lapping at my feet! Fortunately I always look at the tide tables before I go out to paint the sea and harbours and expected this so unusually for me painted the beach and boats first, and left the iconic Jetty and it's cafes and coloured doors to last.
This watercolour was painted on site using high quality permanent, non fade pigments on heavyweight rag paper.
Image size 13 x 17 inches
I usually frame this size in a ready made 16 x 20 inch frame available in several stores.
